During 2024 and 2025, PD Mart sold to consumers a number of products which the Commerce Commission has concerns do not comply with Product Safety Standards (PSS) or Unsafe Goods Notices (UGN).

PSS and UGN prescribe minimum standards for goods which pose a higher risk to consumers. It is an offence under sections 30(1) and 31(5) of the Fair Trading Act to supply goods which do not comply with any applicable PSS and UGN.

Since the start of its investigation, the Commission has identified at least 40 products which it considers do not comply or may not comply with PSS and UGN. The Commission’s investigation is ongoing.

We urge any customer who purchased a product which has been recalled to stop using the product immediately and return it to PD Mart for a full refund. Products can be returned to PD Mart without a copy of the receipt.
